That freebie is your lead magnet. There are many types of lead magnets you can try depending on your business. And don't be too disappointed if a lead magnet doesn't take off the way you want it to. Sometimes what we think our audience wants for free and what they actually want for free are totally different things! This has happened yo me many times in marketing. Maybe you offer a free five minute meditation. Maybe it is a free module to your course. If you're product based it could be a discount like 10% off their first purchase. It could be an ebook. For instance, my lead magnet as an author is that you can download my very first book in the Marian Moyer series for free. Meanwhile, my lead magnet for my copywriting business is a free scrub sequence for your email list. I've also utilized a course module and a free PDF of subject lines. As soon as sign ups started to drift off, I switched it out! There are so many different ways that you can go about a lead magnet. The only real rule is to always ensure that it offers value to your clients or customers. If it is not a value to them, why would they give you their email address (basically internet gold)?
