Autumn is my favorite season. And it's one of the reasons I love living in the midwest. The temperature is perfect for long sleeves and ankle boots. Coffee tastes a little bit better than it does in the summertime. Any time I step outside, I can smell wood burning in a neighbor's fireplace. And best of all...I change out my reading list.
In the autumn months, for whatever reason, I can't help but be drawn in by books that speak to the season. From Frankenstein to The Amityville Horror to Victoria Laurie's Ghost Hunter series...September, October, and November are my time to fill up on everything spooky.
What about you? What are you finding on your fall reading list? If you need a little inspiration, there are some great autumn reading lists on Goodreads! And, of course, if you want a great "spooky" read by an indie author, don't miss Joshua Viola's Nightmare's Unhinged.
